Cela fait quelques années que je n'ai pas eu à mettre les pattes ici, il me semblait que j'étais inscrit mais le forum me dit que non, mon mail n'a jamais été entré. Soit ! Je passerai pas la case présentation !

J'ai découvert Kali (mon dieu, je n'ai même pas eu le temps d'être sous BT5, c'était BT4), qui n'a pas trop changé mes habitudes passées ; quoique je m'en remets lentement mais sûrement.

Concernant ma machine, elle est donc sous Kali et espérant que ça ne change pas grand chose pour la version Ubuntu.

J'ai acheté une clé pour ma p'tite soeur sous Ubuntu, et souhaitais la tester avant. J'ai bien fait : sous ubuntu, elle ne marche pas.
Lassé d'apt-geter sous ubuntu, j'ai préféré lancer la version Kali pour tester la matériel.

Pas trop cher, suffisante pour ses besoins (pas besoin d'une Alfa me suis-je dis) j'ai opté pour la petite et très humble WN725n.

J'avais préalablement lu que certains l'avaient rendu compatible. Entre autres. Ou encore ici.

Donc je commande. Et ça ne marche pas bien. Elle est bien reconnu tout de même.
MAIS quand je vais sur le "connect wifi", ben les quelques uns qu'il trouve, il marque qu'il ne reçoit vraiment pas bien d'eux. J'ai tout de même "à peu près" réussi à me connecter à un wifi.

J'ai tenté un iwconfig wlan1 txpower 20

Error for wireless request "Set Tx Power" (8B26) :
    SET failed on device wlan1 ; Operation not permitted.

Quelque soit le niveau de txpower, même réponse.

J'ai donc bien appliqué ce que j'ai lu dans les topics plus haut sur l'installaton d'un driver pour WN725n...

Ensuite... l'écran est passé en fullscreen konsole. Avec tout plein d'hexadécimal... BREF. Hard reset (oui, on devient con avec les années de médecine).

Je redémarre... L'interface X semble HS.
Tty1 : X --> rien.
Tty1 : X restart --> rien

Je suis donc allé faire un make uninstall dans le fichier... et ça remarche. Le pourquoi, je ne sais pas trop (dans la mesure où insmod ?)
Premier surpris de retrouver mon interface X.

Je vais dans ifconfig & iwconfig, ça affiche toujours la même chose.
Wlan0 : wifi avec lequel je me connecte au www
wlan1 : mon usb. Mais vous l'aurez deviné.

90% des chipset n realteck sont très problématiques avec linux.
Ils fonctionnent mal en mode managed (association très difficile et débit bridé à 2mbps) et ne fonctionnent tout simplement pas en mode moniteur.
Si tu veux quelque-chose bien compatible linux/mode moniteur/injection + petit prix je te conseille le wn722n de tp-link (10€) avec son chipset atheros ar9270 (n 150mbps) et son antenne externe de 4dBi, c'est à mon avis idéal pour faire ses gammes tout en étant un adaptateur plus que correct.


Cela fait quelques années que je n'ai pas eu à mettre les pattes ici, il me semblait que j'étais inscrit mais le forum me dit que non, mon mail n'a jamais été entré. Soit ! Je passerai pas la case présentation !

  probablement, mais M1ck3y pourra t'en dire plus car c'est lui qui sait, ton compte a été assimilé à celui d'un bot parce qu'il n'y avait pas de mail valide associé.

Si tu as créé un compte sur le forum, il te suffit d'utiliser la fonction mot de passe oublié pour générer un nouveau mot de passe, à condition de te souvenir quelle adresse mail était associée à ton compte.
